My Inadequacy

I am...

Independent. Strong. Beautiful. Creative. Resourceful.
Driven. Spontaneous. Crafty. Focused. Energetic. Joyful.
Smart. Opinionated. Witty. Capable. Bold. Loving. Handy.
Faithful. Motivated. Passionate. Kind. Adventurous.

And daily I am reminded of my inadequacy.

I am 21 years old and never could have dreamed that I would be where I am today. Yet, in the midst of it all, I am continually struck with the reality that without God in my life I wouldn't be half of what I am today.

I am an independent and strong women who is completely dependent and weak in the arms of a mighty God.

I have been called by God for this time and this season to take on a role that many days I feel completely inadequat to do, but none the less this season that I am in fulfills its purpose to consistently drive me to the foot of the cross where I find strength in Him.

My prayer some mornings when I wake up is
"DEAR GOD, I need grace... I need grace... I need grace...
LORD! Give me grace... Give me grace... Give me grace..."
and he is always faithful to get me through
even the hardest of days.

He reminds me:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV

He has called me:
For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 ESV

Take heart and know that the days when you feel inadequate,
you are never alone!!!

Sealed & Sent

I began this blog over a year ago... but today I am taking the plunge to make this thing official!

My heart in starting this blog is
to share my life,
thoughts,
opinions,
experiences,
& hopefully so much more!

I pray that you will embark on this journey with me and that throughout the next weeks, months, years, or however long I keep this going... that you will join me!

My hope is that, we will both grow in love for one another
and that you will be encouraged to pursue the Lord in a deeper and more passionate way!

2 Corinthians 3:3
"And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

My life is a letter and I welcome you to read me.

On my heart you will see engraved a desire to love God above all else and a passion to be sent to the nations to present myself as a human letter - written by God with love.

I am a letter that will forever be sealed and sent by my King.
